Europe 2009: Another much needed update
Jul. 4th, 2009 03:22 pmSo, I promised you more updates, right?
The problem is that, since the much-lamented death of my poor travel laptop (which Hubby is, for insurance purposes, making me continue to lug around on my back everywhere in a shockingly heartless gesture (both for the extra weight and for my greiving process)) I've had to relearn to touchtype on a French keyboard. A big ask, you might say, but not for me when it comes to keeping people on the home front up to date with my travels!
I am now, of course, in the eighth week of my trip and getting frighteningly close to the end.
( But what a trip it's been! )
But my train will leave soon, and time is running short, so those stories another day.
Tonight I'm heading off to Malmo, the town in Sweden where my grandmother's family are from. Tomorrow, we may decide to pop across to Copenhagen for a cuppa with Mary.
Tomorrow will be my last night in Europe, at least on this trip. I'm not sure I'll ever be ready to come home, but I think, as far as holidays go, this is pretty much the one to rule them all.
