Just a little one, this time

Found inside attempting to climb onto the boss's computer. It's a green tree snake: not only non-venomous, but completely devoid of fangs. We think he might be a particularly dull brownish colour in the picture because was trying to blend with the cardboard box we kept him in until everyone arrived and could have a hold. He was cool and sweet, with his little muscles gripping my skin. We released him into the bushes, and he sailed up and away from branch to branch at incredible speed, not even pausing to grip one branch or the next, just effortlessly stretching on to the next one and the next one, trying to gain height and escape from the crazy bigjobs.

Mine! All mine! Nyah, nyah! Besides, China might not mind, but I think Australian customs might have a problem with smuggling native animals out of the country...

Since I just read an article about a German guy getting a few years in jail for trying to smuggle lizards out of New Zealand, I can believe Australian customs might have a problem with it. You could just label the box "scorpions"! Scorpions aren't a protected species, right? (Some guy tried to do just that when smuggling animals, but I forgot what the animals really were, or any other details. Needless to say, "scorpions" attracted the attention of customs pretty quickly!)

LOL! I'll have to remember that, for whenever I particularly want customs to inspect something. I bet those customs officials had protective gear on when they opened the box, though!
