At Work with Lily

For your personal edification, I thought I'd transcribe a conversation Hubby's currently having on the phone with Teh Boss, on the other side of the desk from me.

The phone's tucked up under his shoulder as he continues programming, totally unhindered by the conversation. This is why:

Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Yep.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Mmmm.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Uhuh.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Yep.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Sure.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Mmmm.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Mmmhmmm.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Mmmm.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Yep.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Uhuh.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Yep.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Okay.
Boss: [inaudible]
                           Hubby: Mmmm.

All right, I'm getting bored of following this thing.

Actually, I'm getting bored of it going on in the same universe with me, let alone the same room.

I don't know what they're talking about, but SOMEBODY PLEASE LET ME OUT OF THIS OFFICE!!!

Why can't I help but think that this will end in disaster for your husband? I wunno, I always thought that getting a phone call from The Boss was kind of IMPORTANT.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? *grin* Fortunately I've taken the whole thing a little out of context, so there shouldn't be a problem.

LMAO! That is awesome! Does his boss also come up to him with "brilliant new ideas" about things to do that he's already been doing anyway? No? Just mine, then? ;-)

Actually, it's often difficult to tell whether Hubby or Teh Boss was the originator of an idea. When The Boss is actually in the country (most of the time) they disappear off together for an hour or so every morning to go and drink coffee and come back with Ideas.

I guess who came up with what is a matter of perspective. :)
