I just don't cook on high heat if I'm not starving, so everything cooks more slowly. And you can use a timer to remind you to check on it every x minutes ; D

If you're like me you'll also eat more when trying new foods/recipies... Lately I've been eating fried sausages with mustard wrapped in (raw) cabbage leaves, for example. I also like banana pancakes way more than plain pancakes, and have been doing experiments with sweet potato pancakes... I've been trying to come up with recipes that hide the taste of the coconut oil I have to eat every day haha.

When I was in therapy for this stuff they said "just eat healthy food, even if it's only one bite, even if you have to throw away the rest - your health is most important" but I'm not sure it helped me much.
