The regular expressions - they always seem like a good idea to begin with, and it's only when you're halfway through trying to write a regular expression to replace the period halfway through your novel with a comma that you realise the delete key might have been a more effective solution.

Except that you can count that regular expression in your NaNoWriMo word count, whereas the Delete Key Is Always Bad. *nods*
