Who said lack of sleep leads to megalomania?
Title: Sunday Morning
Prompt: 31_days: October 9, 2007: 'the definitive history of nothing in particular'
Characters/Pairing: Original (or wishful self insertion)
Rating: G
Word count: 100
Sunday Morning
A pink impression remains creasing her shoulder as she rolls over and sleeps on.
She flickers from dream to dream, motionless, the only suggestion of life in her face the softly open mouth and the tinges of colour brushing her cheeks.
In her dreams, she flees like a bullet; hides like a wiretap; flies like a star. She brings peace and feeds the hungry or invents a superbomb and laughs as the world falls in ashes. She walks, unsurprised, among burgomeisters and beggars as laughing/crying/hating/rejoicing tides of people rise and fall at her direction.
In her bed, she sleeps on.
